Emersonians have never been ones to sit idly by. In 1982, as then President Ronald Reagan proposed federal cutbacks to financial aid, Emerson students were among those who took to the streets to oppose the changes and make their voices heard. Above, after marching to the State House, Emerson students participated in a rally to protest the cuts.
