After five years as vice president of Emerson’s Office of the Arts, ArtsEmerson Artistic Director David Dower (left) will step down at the end of the year. David C. Howse (right), current ArtsEmerson co-director, will assume a new role as vice president of the Office of the Arts and continue as executive director of ArtsEmerson.
Dower heads to San Francisco to take on a new post as executive producer of US operations for The 7 Fingers, a Montreal-based circus theater troupe. ArtsEmerson will launch a national search in January 2021 for a new director of artistic programming.
