How do you describe Emersonians? Bold? Creative? Vibrant? Those are some characteristics that come immediately to my mind, as I see them embodied in the students and alumni I get to interact with and learn from as your alumni president. That’s why I am so excited about the redesign of our alumni magazine. Did you love the last issue as much as I did? This magazine, which tells our stories, is a thread that connects us all—and now that thread is as colorful and bold as we are. Emerson sends this publication to all alumni for whom we have a valid mailing address (not to mention all parents of current students, faculty, staff, Trustees, Advisors, Alumni Board members, and friends) because we value the impact of our stories and we value the power of Expression as a tangible connection to each other. You’ve told us how much you enjoy reading this magazine—in print and at expression.emerson.edu. Having an online version of this magazine means that we can share more stories, more photos, more of us. Maybe you skim class notes. Or maybe you, like me, consume every word of every article. No matter your style and no matter the medium, I hope reading this magazine reminds you of Emerson in the very best way.
