75 Performances for 75 Years of WERS

WERS is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, having begun broadcasting on November 2, 1949. Throughout the years, WERS has moved around a bit. The station began broadcasting from 88.1 and moved to 88.9 in 1950 to increase power to 330 watts. WERS originally made its home at 130 Beacon Street until 1998, when a new studio was built in the Ansin Building on Tremont Street. No matter the location, listeners have always counted on WERS to provide diverse, eclectic music and content.
